I am also a specialist in Autism Assessment for all ages. The new guidelines stipulate that you only need a paediatrician and a clinical psychologist for the autism assessment which has simplified matters and reduced costs for applicants.

Starting Therapy
If you would like to attend for Therapy you do not need a referral to do so. However, in order to obtain a rebate for the cost of the sessions you can claim on your private health insurance if you have it, or you can obtain a Mental Health Care Plan from your GP. The rebate is $145.50. Starting therapy can feel daunting, so you are welcome to come and attend for one session at a reduced cost to see if you would feel comfortable continuing.
